A downloadable game for Windows

Hello there, this is the PalaTriviaGuy.

First of all disclaimer here: The models, UI assets and all relevant data that are seen in the game, belong to EvilMojo and Hi-Rez Studios. If I am ever told to stop with making this game, I will do so without hesitation. Not looking to catch a copyright lawsuit.

RUNTIME FOR THIS DEMO IS APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES, NO GAMEPLAY LOOP IMPLEMENTED YET. THIS IS JUST A PERFORMANCE TEST DEMO TO SEE IF YOU GET STUTTERS WHEN THERE ARE MANY ENEMIES SPAWNED. HENCE, THE TERRIBLE LIGHTING, SORRY :(

I had this page ready to go 1 week before I was about to release the previous game, but I lost all of the files for them. So I am recreating the game, but this time, not in isometric, going full 3D. So do give me some time. I had all of the below fully implemented at the time that I made this draft, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. For where I have not implemented the features in this new game, I will mark it as so, which is 80% of it.

For anyone who will be jumping straight to playing the game, please note I just started developing it, and have some more stuff going on, so updates will be apart.

Game is a Risk of Rain 2 PVE type of game.  It is far from finished or even polished, but just releasing this prototype version so I can test how my code runs on machines other than mine

If there is good reception, I will continue development, if there is not, I will move on to the next one. :) Now, let's move on to more details of what to expect.

GAME DETAILS

Now because I am not that good with coding, I have tried my very best to make things as less janky as possible. But alas, I cannot seem to make some of the animations look right. That being said, here is all I have for now: (From here on, if I haven't implemented something, I will mark it as not implemented.

Champions (5 of them, only Androxus implemented for now)

  1. Furia (Not implemented, but script is ready)
  • Shoots 4 bullets in a cone shape at a time.
  • Damage is split between the 4 bullets so you will want to get close to enemies to be able to hit all 4 bullets at a time.
  • Short bullet travel time, fast bullet speed.
  • Has 2 dash charges. Dash distance is large.
  • Heals herself 20 hp for every 5 enemies killed. (Scales with Rejuvenate).

2. Maeve (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Shoots 2 daggers, same fire rate as in main game.
  • Damage is not split between daggers.
  • Long dagger travel time, moderate dagger speed.
  • Has 3 dash charges. Dash distance is moderate.
  • Reduce cooldwown of dash charge by 10% for each dagger that hits an enemy.

3. Io (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Shoots bullet in a straight line, moderate fire rate as in main game.
  • Each bullet does full damage.
  • Long bullet travel time, fast bullet speed.
  • Has 2 dash charges. Dash distance is long.
  • Heal allies for 200 hp per every 3 enemies killed.

4. Vivian (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Shoots in a straight line, offset to the right. Increased fire rate.
  • Each bullet does full damage.
  • Moderate bullet travel time, increased bullet speed.
  • Has 2 dash charges. Dash disctance is short.
  • Gain increased damage for 5 seconds after killing 5 enemies within 4 seconds. (This buff can stack up).

5.  Androxus

  • Works just like Andro in main game.
  • For demo test sake, has 30 ammo, and infinite amount of dashes

ENEMIES

Melee Illusions (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Moves at a slow speed, towards player.
  • When in melee range, charges for 2 seconds, then attacks player.
  • Deals low damage.
  • Has low health.

Shooter Illusions (IMPLEMENTED)

  • Moves at a moderate speed, towards player.
  • When in shooting range, shoots at a rate of 1 bullet per every 2 seconds.
  • Bullet speed is fast.
  • Deals moderate damage.
  • Has low health.

Explosive Illusions (IMPLEMENTED)

  • Moves at a moderate speed, towards player.
  • When in explosion range, charges for 2 seconds, then explodes.
  • Deals high damage.
  • Has low health.

Luna (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Stays rooted where it spawns.
  • Shoots at player when player is within shooting range.
  • Bullet speed is fast.
  • Deals moderate damage.
  • Has moderate health.

King Bomb. (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Moves at a high speed, towards player.
  • If it comes into contact with player, stun and explodes immdiately.
  • Stun duration lasts for 4 seconds. (Affected by Resilience).
  • Deals high damage.
  • Has very low health.


Sniper Bot. (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Stays rooted wherever they spawn.
  • Has infinite range to shoot at player. 
  • Shoots 1 bullet every 10 seconds.
  • Bullet speed is very high.
  • Deals high amount of damage.
  • Has moderate health.


Armor Bot. (Rei Enemy) (FULLY IMPLEMENTED)

  • Roams about the battlefield at high speed. Does not attack player.
  • Has an aura around her that moves along in her direction.
  • Enemies who enter her aura cannot take damage, so long as they remain in her aura.
  • Has high health.
  • Armor Bots cannot receive damage immunity from other Armor Bots

Ghost. (Kasumi Enemy) (Not implemented, but script is ready)

  • Moves towards player at high speed.
  • When comes into contact with player, explode and apply a 30% slow on the player.
  • Can move between dimensions, preventing her from taking damage.
  • Has low health.

ENEMY WAVES SPAWNING SETTINGS (CURRENT)


ITEMS AND OTHER INFO Functionality of all items have been disabled for now. I also need to make the models for them in Blender, which I am not that good either, hence, I have disabled them for now.

At the moment, when you spawn, there is a possibility for any number between 0 to 10 chests or 0 to 10 turrets to spawn at random locations. Each costs 100 credits, and I didn't show this, but you have 1000 credits. Will show it in the next update. 

After killing 20 enemies, no more enemies will spawn.


THE PLAN

I will be releasing updates implementing those I haven't implemented in due time. Thank you for reading if you did, and thank you for trying the game if you do. This is gonna take a whole while to make the game even remotely playable, but I hope to stick to it,  and this time, I will not be losing the files, I have this thing here:
